Sara Cherny has retired from her role as creative director after 7 years at the helm. It has been an amazing journey, but she is excited to move her energy to focus on new things. We are also happy to announce that Jen Delk and Naomi Choodnovskiy will be taking on leadership of bluesSHOUT! after the 2020 event.
The SHOUT! team is taking a break from hosting events and working to move the business under the non-profit umbrella of the Ujima Blues Foundation. We wanted to give ourselves time to dismantle the business end of bluesSHOUT! as it exists today (business license, bank accounts, website, registration system, etc...) and rebuild under the Foundation before hosting another event.
As part of the SHOUT! rebuild/restructure, plan to document our journey in the hopes of providing some tools/guidelines for other event organizers.
