The Grand Ballroom
Saturday night main dance
www.thegrandballroom.net
6351 S Cottage Grove Ave Chicago, IL 60637
Map & directions
The Grand Ballroom is one of Chicago's most famous vintage ballrooms and
has been recently renovated to restore its original class and beauty. It
is one of only a few ballrooms in Chicago that remain from the Jazz Age.
Located in the Woodlawn neighborhood, this ballroom was originally completed
in 1923 and was at the heart of the jazz scene in Chicago. We are excited
to have our Saturday evening dance at this beautiful venue.
Parking: The main parking lot will be on your left, at the corner of 64th and Cottage Grove.
The ballroom is just across the street on the opposite corner of 64th and Cottage Grove.
After that parking lot fills up, there is overflow parking available behind the building,
off of the alley, on the dirt/grass. You pass this first, on your right. If you are parking there,
don't worry about the fencing, you can park on either side, wherever you find space.
There will be some trucks parked there - those belong to the ballroom, so don't worry about them
either. Both parking lots will be well lit and monitored by a security officer.
If parking on the street, please note any street signs for street cleaning times. And don't leave
valuables in plain sight in your car! Caution should be taken to make sure that you arrive in groups.
This is a rough neighborhood.
